It's been almost 10 years since the last great revival of the wuxia genre, and Flying Dragon Leaping Tiger is made in the same tradition as the fantasy wonders of the early 90s such as Swordsman 2 and Blade of Fury, only it's not as good. It's no doubt a rewarding experience for wuxia fans, but others whose breath don't get taken away by the fantasy action sequences may find Flying Dragon unappealing.
