Here's a lesser known movie adaption of "Sentimental Swordsman, Ruthless Blade." This movie focuses on the same part of the novel that Return of the Sentimental Swordsman (1981, Shaw Brothers) essentially focuses on. Here, the action is mostly poorly choreographed fluff, which is to be expected from Taiwanese action directors. Believe it or not, the story was actually pretty interesting. But there is no way Taiwanese wuxia movies can compare to Shaw Brothers-made classics.

The themesong is a sped-up, Mandarin version of Roman Tam's song for TVB's "Sentimental Swordsman" series from the 70s.
