Summary: Nikita's Days in Jail
It is the first HK movie I have seen through a Chinese movie channel.I have often been visiting HK for the past 3 years, but it is this movie that triggered my interest in watching HK films.
What I liked most about the movie was that it was presented so simply. It may not have depicted prison life reastically (due to the many hugs),but I must admit that it touched me personally. At some point,it somewhat unleashed the feminine side of me.
Jade Leung needed not act because the story itself put a heart in her supposedly heartless character,Jean. In an assasin's dark life, prison truly is a resort, quoting from the film's dialogue, especially when there's the lovable,beauty-conscious Kiki around(too bad she died).I was thinking...If this was a Philippine script,it probably ended up as a "telemovie",or a production that looks and feels like a bigscreen movie, but only shown in television for one night.
