The “Shaolin Hand lock” is a Li family secret. The flick starts off with the technique’s Master, Li Bai (Dick Wei), being killed by a visitor named Yu Biao Fang (Chen Shan). The two children of Li Bai: Cheng Ying (David Chiang) and Meng Ping (Chan Ping) arrive too late on the scene to see the killer; nevertheless, the two children swear revenge. Cheng Ying decides to take revenge alone by following the blood trail to Thailand where he meets Yu Biao Fang and kills him. Cheng Ying later finds out that the real bad guy who is behind his Father’s death is town “good” Samaritan, Lin Hao (Lo Lieh). In order to sow the seeds of Lin Hao’s death, Cheng Ying takes a job as one of his henchmen in order to be near him when a chance arises for the kill. The flick then starts to play out like a short soap opera as Cheng Ying finds out some exciting news about his family while playing a part in the unraveling of Lin Hao’s past and present. OK story with mediocre gung fu.
