Three coworkers all named Wongs share a flat. They prevail upon their female friend Sau Ha (Ha Ping) to help find them dates. Individually, Sau Ha introduces her colleague telephone operator Hau Ying (Suet Nei). The first time Hau plays a Shanghai girl, the second time, a Mandarin speaking girl and, finally, a shy Cantonese speaking girl. When the men finally suspect that they are dating the same girl, Sau Ha tells them the girls are sisters. Still sceptical, they arrange a meeting with all three sisters and Sau Ha at a club (the Shatin Heights Hotel). Of course, Hau has to keep switching identities until the ruse is finally exposed.

Ha Ping is quite effective as the overlooked ‘buddy’ of the guys. Suet Nei is irresistibly cute, particularly as the Mandarin modster. High marks, all around, for the excellent cast.

Musical note: cues include When The Saints Go Marching In and Dixie during the opening credits, Love is a Many Splendored Thing, Oh Susannah, surf rock and one lusciously sweet slide guitar tune. For comical sound effect, a vigorous dose of trumpet and drums, accordion and kettledrum combinations are employed.
