2004: Retrospective

Postby Mike Thomason » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:57 pm

As a small follow-up to the "2005: The Year That Was..." topic, and just as a small measure of making everyone work that little bit harder, how about the year before? This is as far back as I'm stretching, and per the 2005 thread only films from Asia from the 2004 release year! Once again, no representation from Japan -- it's pretty much a region whose cinema leaves me cold so I seldom, if ever, dabble...

hey,

am so married to HK and the few Korean, Japanese or Thailand productions that came along probably weren't from 04 but can't be bothered to look it up. Don't be surprised by the lack of films seen, again, my jumps from anything ranging from the 60s up till now still applied to 04.

Once again -- not a problem! For the record, I only listed the films I saw from the respective countries for the release year(s) in both posts -- if I had've listed everything I watched, and there were LOTS of films from outside the bracket, both lists would have been HUGE!!!

hey,

yea obviously I listed only the 04 productions as well as that year probably was divided between new, Shaw's, various thrash, gems on various formats. :)

Hence me doing a top 10 each year for the site based on what I watched, that year the top spot belonging to an early 70s movie.
