I'm about to make a couple of purchases but I wanted to know if anyone saw these yet. They are all Japanese films.

Battlefield baseball
Doppleganger

Any input at all would be great. Just would like to hear an honest recommendation from someone whose seen them.Thanks

Unless you like really goofy comedy, stay away from Battlefield Baseball. I was sorely disappointed. If you like your comedy obvious and super broad and all over the place, you may have some fun checking this flick out.

Thanks Magic. I am sort of a completist so I'll probably pick up both Juons.

I would avoid Battlefield Baseball too. It has some interesting ideas, but is just too low budget to pull it off. Most of the time when something cool is about to happen, the camera just looks away and all you see is the aftermath. I'm pretty tolerant of low budget films because often a lack of budget brings about an overflow of creativity, but in BB either the creativity wasn't there (unlikely given that it was from the AD of VERSUS), or the budget was just TOO low.
