This one I didn't see with the others, I discovered it in the VHS collection I had no idea there was a GOD2. I don't recall if I realised then then that it wasn't Bruce, but this time I did notice a huge difference in the action, I remember not being impressed with the monks fighting and then when the abbot got involved I thought it was very silly. Now I appreciate that Yuen Wo-ping style a lot more, though even now I think that particular fight needed speeding up a bit.

Even though some of the action was disappointing and the film itself seemed really wacky to me (as a kid!), I recall vividly being blown away by the kicks. I'd fell in love with Bruce's kicks, but the moves on display by Kim Tae-jeong, Hwang Jeong-ri , Wang Ho (aka Casanova), Tiger Yang Seong-oh and of course Yuen Biao, took it to a whole new level.

I'd watch the greenhouse fight over and over again trying to copy the moves. I still get pumped up now anytime I watch it, yes it's originally from the first film, but this is where I saw it. TOD is pretty far from being a Bruce film, but it's still very important to me and does have something special to offer.

I watched a copy of the Korean cut but didn't see Yuen Wo-ping, Charlie Chan or Tino Wong. It might just be that I don't recognise Yuen and his stunt team as well as I used to and didn't see them, especially with the fight in the lab, as there were several people there that I'm sure I recognised but couldn't ID. There's also the possibility that there are scenes that were cut from that particular copy, as that one runs at 1h12mins, yet the KMDB shows the Kor cut running at 1hr25mins. So for now I'll just leave them as [Kor cut].

IMDB lists Dan Schwarz as (uncredited) but I didn't see him and couldn't find any record of him working on the film, so I've not added him.

Couldn't ID Law Keung, I assume he's one of the Lab guard's as there's quite a few there that I recognise but can't be sure of.

I swapped the credit order of Bruce Lee Siu-lung and Kim Tae-jeong, as unlike with GOD where there was the original 1972 footage, Lee had no involvement in this film and all his scenes are from archive footage from his various other films with the point being purely to use his name. This is also why I didn't take any pics of Bruce.

There were a few multi roles to add for actors already credited, with the only brand new editions to the cast being: Chiang Cheng; Ng Kit-keung; also Jeong Hong-gwon whose ID here is his very 1st and Miranda Austin who is new to the HKMDB itself.

Added Japan and HK as filming locations.

Yuen Biao stunt double in TOD

The greenhouse fight pics were taken from my copy of GOD2 but have been added to GOD where they truly belong.

Roy Horan - He was a Taekwondo student of "King Of The Leg Fighters" Hwang Jeong-ri.

Graham Ravey - Born 25th of August 1953 in Chesterfield, England [there's a lot more info on him, maybe I'll do a bio at some point]

Well, that's that, the last of the "Bruce Lee Collection" done. It certainly became a love/hate project, but worth it in the end. Again, thanks to all who've contributed to Bruce's pages and those helping with corrections etc. Hopefully with this info up on the database, more IDs will be discovered. Anyway, I've got a few things I had ready (some from before Xmas ), mostly small updates etc. that I'll put out for a little while, so I can (at last) get a proper break.

I believe I've gotten the correct IDs of the new additions provided by Michael, if I've made a mistake, please let me know. I struggled a bit because I'm not very familiar with these actors, there's not that many previous images to work with, I don't own many of those films and the poor continuity in TOD makes things quite tricky. But also, something I've noticed while doing my Bruce Lee Update Project, is that some of these HD version look better overall, but when it comes to movement or people in the background the image can become very smudged looking. There were plenty of freeze frames on my old HKL DVD rips that were much better than the HD version, but I don't want to go back and redo various pics all over the place.

Thanks to Michael's correction on one of the Lab Guards being Lung Ying (2) rather than Chiang Cheng (2), I think that he's one of the Lab workers (guys in white) too. It's funny because I spotted him before, but wasn't convinced he was Chiang Cheng so didn't include him


While going over the footage to look for the new guys, I wondered if the Lab guard I thought was Yuen Biao (being strangled over the back of Kim Tae-jeong) might actually be one of the new guys instead, thoughts on this?

Also related to that moment, in the wide shot (while that guy is on Kim's back) there are two Lab guards left standing, Corey Yuen on the right, and I wondered if the guy at the back might be Wong Chi-ming yet again, thoughts?

I think that's actually all of the Lab guards ID'd except for one. To me he looks a bit like Yam Pak-wang, though I'm sure it's not him as I believe he only worked in Taiwan and his 1st credit is several years later. But maybe someone else my recognise who he really is? You see him after the alarm is sounded in the lab, he's on the right of frame in the same shot featuring Corey Yuen and So Hon-sang. Unless he's actually Bobby wu and I've mis-ID'd him.


I've also added pics of one of the other Tower guards that only appears in the Korean cut of the film, I'm not sure who it is though. I thought he looked a bit like Mang Hoi, though I don't think it's him. Does anybody think they recognise him?


Hopefully this is all well and good and I can concentrate on [possibly] doing one more "big project" before I take a break. I just looked over it to possibly tie up some loose ends and ended up solving a whole bunch of mysteries I'd been stuck on for years. If I streamline it, I might be able to get it out before I go, but we'll have to see.

Not sure if it is Richard Cheung Kuen. Could also be Yuen Shun-Yi or someone unknow.

Yes it's a tricky one as, some of the others look like him at times, I guess I'll leave it for now, unless new evidence is brought forth.

Yes, I had considered Yuen Shun-yi too, but I thought that his eyes looked a bit more"frog-like" than Yuen, also his hair looked a bit more curly. There's also the fact that in the other scenes Yuen has no moustache, whereas Richard does in his other scene; and Yuen's Lab guard character had already been defeated, but of course these could just be continuity errors, and with this films continuity it's not very reliable. I'll leave this as well and see if anyone else wants to chip in.
