Though I've taken a bit of a break from my big project (I needed it ) I've been going over some of my Korean stuff that I'd put on hold, which included watching Dynamite Shaolin Heroes. Not seen it for years, so was happy to see lots of familiar faces, a few of which I was sure enough from 1st glace to do some IDs for. First of which is action director Kim Baek-soo.

Korean Update Project - Kim Baek-soo --- round 2

I had wondered for a long time if action director Baek Myung-hong was Kim Baek-soo, as I had spotted him in Dreanaught Rivals uncredited actor and since the other action director was Kim Hoe-moon, who was his protege. The films also featured several of his other Ottugi team members such as Won Jin and Song Keum-shik. Then there was the fact the name that contained part of his name "Baek" so there was a connection and there were other people whose names were credited in unusual ways or changed completely, such as Choe Soon-seok being credited Yoo So-jeon.

I had my toe on the line but just couldn't bring myself to take that last step. But finally it clicked, the guy I kept looking at and scratching my head saying "I recognise this guy, but can't place him" was none other than Kim in another uncredited role. I can't quite remember why it didn't click before, but I think the fact he was uncredited on both films is why I wrote him off. It's weird how your brain completely wraps itself in knots sometimes

I had a secondary role in A Blow Of Fury to add. Hard to spot, partly due to how briefly he appears in this henchman role, but mostly due to the LQ of the footage.
