Bai Ling to Sing Sing? Wacktress arrested at LAX . . .

(a TMZ followup story notes how her blog entry about being delayed at the airport didn't exactly mention why. :lol: )

"Wacktress" :D

That is as good as some of the stuff in the Daily Variety stylebook, where an actor who leaving a movie or play becomes the headline Thesp Ankles Prod or the apocryphal but still funny headlines like
Wall Street Lays an Egg (after 1929 stock market crash) or Sticks Nix Hicks Flix (from the movie "Yankee Doodle Dandy" with James Cagney.

The link on the TMZ page to the video of Ling dancing is "Bail Ling" which could be a joke, a mistake or even an exhortation...

The Variety stylebook is amazing! I've stolen a word or two from it on occasion, but one has to be careful . . . :oops:

An old favourite that used to hang on the wall of my J-school classroom was the New York Post's legendary "Headless Body In Topless Bar." Tough to top that one.

It's TMZ, so it's definitely intentional. I suppose they could have also used "Flai Ling" for her dance video as well, or "Stea Ling" in regards to her latest escapade.
