WOW! Unlike a lot of actresses Shu Qi really knows how to sell a look. I'm not that impressed with the dress itself--simple but not quite elegant, a bit on the blah side, lovely color, drapes very well, etc. etc.--but if I were trying to sell dresses to wealthy Chinese women I would send her as many as she wanted and wrap them in one hundred dollar bills.

Or these days one hundred Euro notes.

Great clip. Hou Hsiao Hsien might as well have been invisible. I probably wouldn't have noticed if Shu Qi's escort had been the reincarnation of Alexander the Great.
