Love the bit in this about Toronto's Jose Calderon apologizing with the classic line "some of my best friends are Chinese" to deflect attention away from what a dope he is. Athletes, man.

Logan said what distinguishes Dragon Dynasty from previous purveyors of martial arts flicks is the series' commitment to technical excellence and their willingness to hire me to do every single one of the commentaries until the end of time, forever.

While he didn't actually say the part in italics he may have been thinking it.

I was gonna take a crack at this one myself, but I figured that was exactly what everyone would be . . . expecting . . . 8)

In the rummage thread hereabouts, Shawn pointed out yet another interesting looking book, edited by Poshek Fu and featuring writing by several luminaries about the Shaw films, that once again made my mind race to the puzzling ubiquity of Mr. Logan's favourite commentator . . . :( The man's alright, but geez, let's hear some alternative voices. I suppose this is why TWC's Korean acquisitions are getting dumped out featureless on the Genius label: he probably knew he was out of his league talking about those, and thus they became unworthy of the Dragon Dynasty banner. :?

Since the article refers to Chan's co-star in the "Rush Hour" movies the person in queston was probably Chris Tucker.
