Not sure what you're what saying but your statements are all true. To expand, typically, the new/little indicate different persons, e.g., Ma Sze Tsang and Sun-Ma Sze Tsang. In modern era, Cecilia Cheung was called Little Brigitte Lin and now Gong Mi is Little Cecilia Cheung because of their similarities in looks. Song Jia is sometimes called Xiao Song Jia to distinguish from a different Song Jia.

But then both "little" single entries can be merged with their aliases who have more....

I couldn't come to that conclusion. HKFA lists separately and does not connect with either. A somewhat comparable analogy would be like saying, New Elvis Presley = Little Elvis Presley.
