I've been reading odds 'n ends about this one, and this Variety article

claims Huang Jianxing will be co-directing the movie with China Film Group chairman Han Sanping. Another update based on the article is Zhang Hanyu's character, President Sun Yat-sen. Might be a couple of others updates in there too.

Also, the gentleman on the left in this still from the movie looks an awful lot like Alex Fong:

Added Alex Fong, confirmed in recent Chinese report.
Added Zhang Hanyu's role, there was some question as to which role he was being cast in from the reports I saw.
