Now that I've got your attention...

If ever there was a Hong Kong movie title that that needed updating in any database, anywhere, it's this one! So I kinda figured we deserved the scoop, with a little help from Jaman.com, of course.

Looks like Image made the wrong decision to licence the first BLACK MAGIC as part of their Shaw DVD line-up. It's a decent film and everything, but this, this has everything you WISHED the first one had: more nudity, more gore, more fighting, more all-around weirdness, and a snappy Schifrin-esque score to boot. "Battlemonkey's" review in the database seems way offbase, to be sure.

Why Celestial is sitting on this for a DVD release, I'll never know, but check out the new photo gallery of 37 new widescreen images to whet your appetite:

(North American residents can give it a spin on Jaman for the time being. Hopefully they'll expand that coverage some day )
