The Soong Sisters (1997)

The database states this as Cantonese (both the Mandarin and Cantonese dialects were done at the same time).

Both the DVD and VCD have the Mandarin dialect only. I have read that other than in HK, the Mandarin was the preferred dialect because of the subject matter (I wish I could find the link dang nam it other than Yeoh's site lists the language as Mandarin http://www.michelleyeoh.info/Movie/soongsisters.html while HKFA lists it as Cantonese).

Just some thoughts on the subject :).

My LD list both tracks but I can't remember which is the 'correct' one. All I know is I paid a pretty penny at the time for it and that the film was edited for release.

Wikipedia also says Mandarin. Maybe I'll fire up the LD player if nothing more definitive surfaces.
