It's a Japanese production with Hong Kong connections. The Kam and
Ronson VCD/DVD press was 2005. I grabbed the production year from
Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misaki_Ito) although some claim
it's 2004.

Stephen Fung (House of Fury, My Schoolmate The Babarian) star in this Japanese horror.

When Tamotsu (Fung dies in a skiing accident, his roommate Yoshio not only marries Tamotsu's wife Ruriko, but also plants to inherit his fortunes. The sudden appearance of a disfigured old man at Tamotsu's funeral, however, proves to be the beginning of Yoshio's downfall for his heartless actions.

FACE TO FACE is an atmospheric horror mystery with a surprises ending.

Adapted from a novel by the famous Japanese writer Edogawa Rampo, Face to Face (a.k.a. The Snow) is a Hong Kong-Japan co-production featuring Tanihara Shosuke and Ito Misaki from Japan and also Hong Kong actor Stephen Fung. Director Casey Chan, a collaborator with Stephen Fung since The Poet, changes the setting of the story from Kyushu in southern Japan to the far North where the land is covered by snow. A lethargic and vast landscape better suits the film's eerie atmosphere by contrasting shocking scenes against the quiet winter.

Stephen Fung portrays a student born into a rich Chinese family in Japan. His best friend, a talented but poor Japanese student (Tanihara Shosuke), lives with him in his house. One day they meet a gorgeous girl (Ito Misaki) and both fall in love with her. The rich Chinese young man, soon after becoming her husband, dies in a skiing accident... A
thrilling film filled with horror - and the dark side of human nature may the most horrible of all!

There is another "Face to Face", which is a very different GLBT themed film from 2006 here.

Only two Chinese names appear to be Stephen Fung and Casey Chan.
Should it be out to a vote to include or not ?

I vote to include it in one way or another. If we can't include it as a full-fledged DB listing (though as a co-production, I don't see why not), then the info should at least be added to the biographies of Fung and Chan until it can be properly added to their filmographies in a way where it's not "clickable" (still waiting to see if Bob feels it's worthy to set something like that up; for now I've been adding non-HK appearances to biographies of talent where time permits, just to the info is there for completeness and posterity).

I may actually have this movie, but will have to dig as I know I haven't watched it yet. :(
