I watched this rather steamy Category III movie tonight and I'm fairly certain Jade Leung's not in it, despite a Leung Chun (??) being billed seventh in the opening credits—in English and Chinese.

Bearserk's gallery is about as complete as you could hope for, and I don't see here there, either:

It's difficult to imagine the star of the successful BLACK CAT just a few months earlier having to resort to playing second fiddle or some bit part in an adult title like this, even if her subsequent career never really exploded.

HKFA lists a "Jay Leung Chun" in the cast, which is, apparently, one of her aliases, which suggests our information may have come from HKFA.

I'm wondering if we shouldn't create a new DB entry for Leung Chun (2) aka ?? (2).



Also, this really seems like the odd film out in Kirk Wong Chi-keung's filmography. There is definitely a Wong Chi-keung credited as writer at the beginning of the film—again in English and Chinese—but I seriously doubt it's this particular Wong Chi-keung.

Once again, HKFA lists the action-crime-oriented director as the writer of this sex picture, but they've been known to be wrong before. A lot, actually. Still, I suppose he could have tossed PINK LADY off in his spare time for kicks.

More intrigue about this film:

The two leading ladies in the movie (Lee Mei-ki and Yip Lai-hung) are unidentified. Pictures of the pair are in the gallery, but it's seems difficult to figure out which one is which:



There's not much on the web to suggest which one plays "Jenny" and which one plays "Michelle", which would make ID'ing these actresses a snap. A heavy round of digging unearthed this description of the film from the YesAsia listing for the recent DVD (http://www.yesasia.com/global/pink-lady ... /info.html), suggesting that Lee Mei-ki (theoretically pictured on the right, above, as that's the Michelle character) is actually a Japanese actress named Okazaki Hitomi, who also apparently appeared in the pinky movies RAPEMAN 2 and SUNNY GETS BLUE (IMDB also puts her in all three, which doesn't prove anything, naturally). Of course, this synopsis also makes the claim that Jade Leung is in the film, so unless she really is, I'm not sure what to make of the J-starlet ID: I saw SUNNY years ago, but can't remember much of anything about it. Never seen a RAPEMAN film at all. Interesting title, though.

Anyone else have some info on these two seemingly one-and-done actresses?

Wong Chi-Keung is a very common HK name. But I do not know if he is Kirk or not.

Agreed. We've already got quite a few Wong Chi-keung's in the DB, none of whom really qualify as writers. The screenplay is surprisingly sharp for what is ultimately a sexploitation picture loaded with nudity and sex, so the possibility exists that he did write it. I'll keep digging, but worst case scenario is we might have to create yet another entry, a la Wong Chi-keung (10).

If so, maybe PINK LADY was shot before BLACK CAT, as that girl is most definitely a bit part, one of two runway swimsuit models who show up in a brief scene set at a commercial shoot. She does, however, have the slightly larger role of the two of them (with one line of dialogue as I recall). If you're right, I'm surprised the producers considered it worthy of including her name in the opening credits, unless they suddenly realized just who they had in their cast after the success of BLACK CAT, again suggesting that this might have been made earlier, or at least around the same time.

I suspect Mr. Germany is right about Jade, but just to be certain, here's a few more shots of the character. The gallery now has enough pictures from her scene that future generations will think I had a serious fixation :

That is Jade Leung without question. There are much worse people with whom to be fixated although I won't name any since I wouldn't want to introduce U.S. politics into the delightfully non-politcal environs of HKMDB.

Having added 20 of the 63 (or whatever it currently is) of the Jade Leung images now in the db I don't think there is a number that corresponds to "too many" pictures of her. I believe that pictures of Jade in a not particularly revealing bathing suit are important artifacts of the late 20th century Hong Kong movie business and that they should be encouraged.

I guess Calros can cancel the split request on Jade. We could also ad "Swimsuit Model" as her character in this as she has no other character name (or maybe "Blue Swimsuit Model"?). Very interesting that she'd pop up in this after the release of BLACK CAT, so I'll just have to live with my hunch that this was made prior to, or around the same time as, that film, or else she was contractually obligated somehow. Otherwise, I suspect her name might not have appeared so high up in the opening credits of PINK LADY.
