VCD/DVD-Cover & onscreen title:

There's a simplified character at the beginning of "???????", traditional it should be "?".

Sorry to interfere.

I am rather new here experiencing this and that.

As with my uploads of stills and lobbies the last two
weeks, I was rather eager to really specify every alias.

I would like to encourage you to do the same,
defining exactly where this or that title was used
and comes from.

You can enter something in the alias window,
so that there is finally not displayed just "alias:",
but maybe "VCD onscreen title:" or something etc.
Like you commented it in the post itself.

My personal approach for all visitors
is the utmost transparency – near being scientific.

The alternative title, for instance, for THE CONCRETE JUNGLE
that you discovered, is the one from a VHS bootleg from Hong Kong
or Taiwan (I bought mine in Hong Kon back then, at least
that I can confirm, although they might have bootlegged
that from Taiwan which they often did) put in by some ancient
video technique back then.

Many thanks,
Oliver

Mine is a Mainland VHS, exactly this one:
frontcover
There's also a bootleg apparently pirated from a Taiwan Long Shong VHS (beware though of a possibly edited fake cover):

Hong Kong VHS (Mei Ai) onscreen title: ????

Mainland VCD onscreen title: A Desperado

"The Third Face": China Arts VHS cover title is the same as poster title (?????), so I suggest to specify it and also add screenshots of both onscreen titles, they appear one after another (as I said, strange but true):
China Arts VHS onscreen title 1/2: ?????
China Arts VHS onscreen title 2/2: ?????

Mainland China VHS & VCD title: ????

Taiwan VHS (Lion) Cover/on screen: ????

As for "Lady Killer", mine is a bootleg VCD (no label), I don't know it's original source.

Hi there,
good work!

I have that old HK bootleg too.

Please feel encouraged to upload this
scan of the VHS box front to the gallery.

I always forget from which movie this mistaken
image motif is from, either BLOOD AND GUTS or
IMPETUOUS FIRE. I have some lobby card ...
that I have to find.

I would add the info in a caption then,
once I have confirmed.

Sorry, don't have this bootleg, I found this in the web when I searched with the HKMDB screenshot title.

I'm not an editor so I can't upload pictures.
I have only that poor quality picture I posted, it's not even a scan but a perspectively corrected photo.

If any user cannot upload images to the Db, they can send them to my mail: csanch47 (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk
and I will upload them to the DB.

Thanks, I didn't know that Chen Hung Lieh cannot do
uploads. So I can upload the attachment, with some picture processing,
and when I find my tape again, I can do a better shot.

Let's try and keep these alternative titles in separate threads. I am going to delete long threads like this.
