Just watched One Nite in Mongkok, wonderfull movie by the way :)
And upon checking the HKMDB saw that he has also directed one of my favourite asian movies, C'est la vie, Mon Cheri, decided to buy what I could find of movies that he have directed, nice timing since me and some friends already have decided to place an order for asian movies :), found most of them at Hivizone and a couple more at pokerindustries, but is not able to find People's Hero anywhere, does anyone know if this has been released on dvd and in that case where they are selling it.

I love One Nite in Mangkok too, Derek Yee is a consistence director where almost all of the movie he directed was nominated for Best Picture.

You should also watch his last year hit Lost In Time, that was an awesome movie!

Yeah, I got the impression that he is very consistent when I was looking through the reviews of the movies he has directed and almost every one of them , well, all except "The Bachelor's Swan Song" which only got a brief description of what the movie is about, got good reviews, so I'm really looking forward to receiving the movies that I'm going to order so that I can watch some more of his work :)

VIVA EROTICA is an exceptionally good film masquerading as Cat III fluff. It's a very clever and funny satire of the HK film industry, with a great cameo by Lau Ching Wan playing... Derek Yee :)

Have it on my list of DVD's to get :), just couldn't afford it on this order, the state doesn't "pay" their students nearly enough for their "hard" work :P, but will place another order in january when I get a big chunk of money from them again, will try to get the remainder of the Derek Yee movies then, ordered The Lunatics and Lost in Time by Derek Yee this time amongst the other stuff I ordered.
Really looking forward to getting them, picked The Lunatics because it was the first movie that he directed, and Lost in Time just sounds really interesting.

The Lunatics is really good too - quite dark and intense (and admittedly over-melodramatic), and quite unique. The DVD cover mis-sells the film terribly, making it look like a comedy starring Chow Yun Fat and Leung Chiu-Wai... this is certainly not the case. Chow and Leung have brief cameos, and the real star of the film (Stanley Fung) doesn't even get a mention on the case! It's definitely not a comedy either :)

hehe, sounds nice, just hope that the package won't be bogged down in shipping to long, now that christmas is getting close.
Should be enough good stuff to keep me occupied during the christmas holiday :)

Don't forget Full Throttle, unless you've seen already. There's a good remastered version DVD from Mei Ah.
