Added co-writer, editor and cinematographer (new name).

I did not find the music composer. I bet it's Eddie H. Wang.

I can not see well the chinese symbols "written with brush", so I'm not sure about the production manager, Lin Hsiang Fan 林驤凡 ... :(

I think we should also add Shaw Bros as distributor.

I've a doubt about production company. "Cheung Gung" should be corrected in "Chang's" (Chang Cheh's own company). Or maybe we have to add Chang's as Cheung Gung alias.

It's not possible create an alias for a production company in the HKMDb. If one company's name is Titanus, for example, and later changes its name to Titanus Distribuzione, we have to create a new entry for it.

I can not see the chinese symbols of Cheung Gung in your photos to check your suggestion. In the first photo I think they say "Chang Cheh presents..." but I'm not sure because, as you may know, the credits written with brush and me are incompatible.

But I can add Chang Cheh as presenter, to inform someway that Chang was involved in the film... Do you agreed?

I can not see Shaw Bros. Prod. anywhere, but if you gives me your word of honor that they released that film I will add them.

I wonder if Cheung Gung could be an erroneous translation of Chang's. All the Cheung Gung's credits on the db are actually Chang's movies.

The Young Rebel vcd is one of the Shaw movies issued by IVL / Celestial. Other info on the film here: http://www.kungfucinema.com/reviews/youngrebel.htm

I'll post the screenshots of other Cheung Gung / Chang's movies soon to solve this doubt.

I do not believe so much in the Kungfucinema articles, there are plenty of errors... but added Shaw.

According to this biography,
http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/CulturalServi ... face1.html
Cheung Gung (Long Bow) was a production company based in Taiwan founded by Chang Cheh in 1974 to better controlling his movies. One of its symbols is similar to Chang's, maybe it's a similar case of Artanis company founded by Frank Sinatra (do you get it?), but, as always, we need a chinese editor to check it.

It was just to let you see the dvd with the Shaw logo...

Scan from the book "Chang Cheh - A Memoir" (published by the HK Film Archive):

See if it could be useful. I think it's just a different way to translate the same company name (Chang's also was Taiwan based). We should decide if change it in Chang's or leave it as it is now. I prefer Chang's just because is seems to me the more known name.

I think it's better put its name in mandarin, too,
(if we put the name of the founder in mandarin...), like Shaw Bros. And if the company is Taiwanese, all the more reason to do it :!:

Also added the complete company name in Big5.

Changing topic... How many books about HK films do you have? You must have a entire library!

Hong Kong books are really wonderful, cheap but very accurate, always interesting, the better way to know more about Hong Kong cinema. They're much better than the western ones, that focuse always on the same topics. My regret is that I couldn't find the HK Filmography Vol. I book... it's out of stock everywhere. My next targets are Lai Man-Wai and Lee Sun-Fung monographies, so that I can correct soon all their db entries!

If you have money enough you can hire "book searchers" in the Net...
