Since Ashes of Time is one of my all-time favorite films, I am both excited and nervous about this news.

Wong is adding new scenes, re-editing others and rescoring the piece.

I'm not too happy to hear about the rescoring. I love Frankie Chan and Roel Garcia's original score. I hope WKW doesn't use any more Nat King Cole for this "redux"! :P

David, I agree with you on all counts. Ashes of Times is definitely my desert island pick, second would be Chungking Express. The OST is also my #1. Except for the thought of more Carina Lau scenes, I'd almost rather it be left alone and just reissued as is. But I have to trust WKW.

I wonder if this means at some point Shirley Kwan will be restored to Happy Together?
