Two "Lau Nga Lai"

There are two "Lau Nga Lai" but they are mixed up!

(1) Lau Nga Lai from TVB Actor Training Class (1977)
(2) Lau Nga Lai Alice from Academy for Performing Arts (1990)

According to the HKFA both are the same person. Any proof?

I think they are two but don't know how to sort it all out.
One, I recognize as starring in my favorite TVB series Brothers (1980), the other won Best New Artist for I Have a Date With Spring (1994). When I posted the image for the latter a few years back, I wondered how she could be a new artist and still have all those prior credits but chalked it up to HK awards system!

Maybe split pre- and post-1994 for a first cut?

From what I know, they are two different persons. I thought about emailing the webmaster of the "younger" Lau Nga Lai's official website for evidence, but don't have time to do that yet. Not sure she'll response but there's at least some other people on the internet mixing them up, I'll try to refer those links to her, hoping she'll clarify.

Thanks, Fan. Made the relationhsip changes and credit change in Bachelor Swan Song from Lau Ar-Lai to Alice Lau Nga Lai. Can you check I interpreted correctly?

By chance, last night I found a Chinese entry on The Brothers that helped me confirm some other cast IDs that have bugged since forever. This thread inspired me to pick up where I left off on the old '80s TVB series Shell Game (Tricky Master) where Lau Nga Lai has a small role.
