I've been wondering about this myself, since one of the titles referenced above, PIZZA LOVER, is one that I provided many months back via info from the VCD:

I guess these are telemovies.

According to this link, Pizza Lover was first broadcast in 1992.

Hmm, even that listing says "Laser Drama Pizza Lover." Strange. I wonder why they didn't port over the full title to the VCD . . . :?

I'm thinking that it should be added as an alias at the very least. Same for those other titles.

I wonder. Perhaps it's the ATV umbrella name for for a anthology series of telemovies? Links to other movies also have 'Laser Drama...' as part of the title.

Hi all!

Yes, this is a collection of ATV telemovies.

ATV (unlike TVB) made their telemovies in thematic genre collections:

House of horror (Horror)
Something incredible (Mysticism)
Hong Kong criminal archives (Crime)
and others

Laser drama is another ATV collection of telemovies.

Haven't seen any of Laser drama movies, but movies from "Something incredible" and "Hong Kong criminal archives" have their collections' titles onscreen, so I'm sure Laser drama movies also have them.
And BTW most of my Something incredible VCDs doesn't have "Something incredible" title on the covers, and they do have this title in the movies itselfs. I think the same is with the Laser drama movies.

This could be tricky. I just checked my Joy Sales VCD of PIZZA LOVER and it features no opening credits/titles or closing credits whatsoever! The program runs well over two hours, so perhaps they shaved them off to fit on two discs. I seem to recall only being able to post the sleeve and the head shots to get the DB entry established. Hopefully someone will come across one of the "laser dramas" with its titles intact someday so we can say for sure. For now, though, I see no problem with aliases being created for most of these.

Added "Underground Family" and "Slice of Life". I cannot check the title "Laser Drama - Slice of Life".
