Gee, I actually ran across one you guys dont have. HKFA had their script copy catalogued under the title 'They died for their Princess' but I see they recently filled the rest of their entry trusting my info that I introduced to IMDB few yrs back: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1496475/ so just verify via the old screencaps from my photobucket acct (posted thumbs here so let me know if link to og images doesn't work). It's in your hands now:

The reason this one's on my radar is while updating my imdb entry, i cross-referenced you guys (w/no results) & checked HKFA again discovering that they deftly IDed & added script info as adapted from Kurosawa's 'Hidden Fortress' story (as did Lucas later for 'Star Wars'). Btw, HKFA is inconsistent re: title reference 'Guo guan' (that I suspect was original script title) & country of production - other than company charter & perhaps brief HK exhibition, this one's all Taiwan (perhaps they should of listed both tw/hk).

Yes this movie is 100% Taiwanese movie.

HKFA person entry is correct. IMDB entry has a few errors (Shaw Feng appears 2 times under 2 different names, it is not "their princess" but "the princess").

Added film, pres., prod. man., dir., writer, assist. dir., phot., mus., ed., art dir., sound, makeup, hairdresser, costumes, gaffer, props, continuity and 15 actors.

Well I don't even know this given the film data I have because the credits ID the production co. as a HK charter so i guess I'm indirectly asking the question if you know about HKFA policy &/or yours. I've traditionally included HK country codes in what I suspect are strictly Taiwan titles esp. if the company charter mentions it as a HK one; therefore I suspect HKFA spotted this as well although they noticeably omitted IDing Taiwan so I'm now confirming w/you.

Re: the redundancy, I usually don't worry about this absent such onscreen credits when not available but I will usually include it if the film & credible cover art also does as the case here (also recognizing their own authorship nomenclature biases) so therefore I don't view it as an error but my own habit for citing the distinction betw. onscreen & cover-art credits from different sources, here the 'jian zhi' (producer) & the 'chu pin ren' (presenter) in old Chinese credits. If i run across the cover art, i'll be more than happy to share. I think you all had this discussion before in yrs past & like to iterate how grateful to have been a fly on the wall for it.

it is not "their princess" but "the princess
Well I see that now but that's not what it read 2 yrs ago because I recall cutting & pasting the title text verbatim. Pls note, back then, they just had this title as a script catalog entry. I had no idea this particular title existed but added it to link it as credible from HKFA. I only have what's on my dvd & cover art so I'm asking these questions now since in these cases I rely on the big minds here but I couldn't find it!
