Hundreds of Chinese movie flyers from the 50s & 60s!

has hundreds of Chinese movie flyers from the 1950s and 1960s (and a handful
from the 1940s and 1970s), with high resolution scans of the fronts and backs,
and no watermarks.

Maybe people here should parcel out the work amongst yourselves?

I suggest nabbing the completed auctions first, since they will vanish with time.

I am telling everybody here about this discovery I just made because I myself
would not have the time to download all the images from the completed auctions
in time before they all vanished, because I work 47 hours a week.

Even so, I am going to attempt to nab all the Cathay / MP&GI stuff and anything
with Lucilla You Min in it because, well, that's just the way I am.

When I first posted about this, the listings at

had auctions as far back as November 22nd.

Now I see that the listings only have auctions as far back as November 30th.

I wasn't kidding when I said some of the completed auctions won't be online
for very much longer.

Many of the flyers here correspond to entries at the HKMDb that have no images at all,
and some of the flyers here are for films that have no entry in the HKMDb whatsoever,
at least under the names they are listed under in the eBAY ads and on the flyers themselves.
But then, I can't read Chinese, so I am assuming that some folks here will have a better
chance of identifying these films than I did.

Hi,

Any certain reason you're posting only the front sides of the flyers to
the HKMDb listings and not the backs?

I assume that the reverse side of a flyer contains a synopsis, and most
of these movies don't have a review, and not all that much is known
about many of them, so . . .
