Bai Ying and the 'Judicial Sword'

3 points to consider:

1) Bai Ying (naming used by the HKFA) is in the db as Pai Ying 2 - as a major actor in the genre, this should be changed to 'Bai Ying'.

2) According to Bai Ying, he wrote "The Judicial Sword"

"Judicial Sword (1975) was based on Hu’s script, originally titled Exile. Hu was unhappy with Exile and abandoned it. I had a look and liked it, so I made some adjustments to the script. I was not planning on making a movie out of it but simply treated it as a writing exercise for practising screenwriting. I felt that I was doing well, so I rewrote the script entirely as a complete story. I then left it aside. Later in Taipei, when I met with Han Baozhang, who told me he was looking for a script, I told him I had one on my hands and would bring it to him. After reading my script, he was impressed and passed it on to his boss, who liked it as well. Han wanted to cast Polly Shang-kuan Ling-feng despite her high salary. The boss gave the matter some thought and agreed, ‘Let’s have both Polly Shang-kuan and Bai Ying in the leading roles.’"

Therefore, 'Liu Yao-He' - who has only one credit in the db - is an aka for Bai Ying.

3) The Taiwanese release date could be added: June 7, 1975.

My thoughts:

I disagree unless that is actually the most common English name he was credited under (which I doubt.) We shouldn't blindly copy the HKFA's style of naming.

The HKFA documents don't go as far as actually saying this, so it would only be a guess to treat it as a direct alias, IMO. Even Pai Ying himself states there that he adapted a script that had already been written, so it would be more of an alias for two people, anyway. Maybe 'Yohos Liu' was a real person who lent his name to the project because Pai Ying didn't want to use his own. I think it should definitely stay separate.
