(10/27/2004) Mainland film WAITING ALONE (DUK JI DUNG DOI) yesterday
premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Surprisingly, Chow
Yun Fat made a cameo in the film.
According to the director Dayyan Eng, he is not close with Fat
Jai, but Fat Jai likes his film BUS 44 (CHE SEI SUP SEI). Thus when he
sent the script of WAITING ALONE to Fat Jai, Fat Jai has agreed that the
film needs a little surprise for the audience and agreed to make a cameo.
The lead Xia Yu owns a small store, in which a pair of men's trouser
hung.
He claims that Fat Jai has worn them in a movie. Near the end of
the year Fat Jai suddenly appears.
