Seems on par with a lot of the Asian-influenced horror hitting western screens these days (in other words, not much different), so it'll be interesting to see if the finished product will really give the Pangs a decent foothold in the market:

The advance word has been that Sony were only moderately happy with the film the Pangs made for them, and that reshoots are now/have been undertaken without them (ie: a new [non-Asian] director has been brought in to "fix up" the Pangs' original vision). What this means for the final cut of the film that is going to be released is anyone's guess, but I fear it won't entail a film comparable to that of the Pang Brothers I know and love...
