I live in NY so I'll be seeing some of these films. I know I'll see Shinobi and probably Blood Rain. Surprised that there is no HK film entry. Has anyone heard anything about any of the films being shown that could help me in choosing which ones to see?

Well I went to the Opening night and saw Gangster from Malaysia & A Bittersweet Life from Korea. I enjoyed both films immensely but I have to say A Bittersweet Life was just a little better. A very cool gangster revenge film.

Haven't seen it yet, but it's on my short list. The trailer was shown opening night and received a tremendous round of applause. I predict it to be the talk of the festival.
