This was a guy that frustrated me for ages, before I finally solved his mysterious ID about a year or two ago. So many issues, such as: miscredits; missing credits; and the worst was the fact that he's one of those “rubber-faces”. The people whose faces seem to morph into entirely new beings anytime they so much as smile. Took a bit of time to sort out the Rivals Of Silver Fox stuff too, that was a right pain to sort through. It's an interesting film for him though as it seems to be the only time he played multiple roles.
He's one of those handful of guys (including Hwang Dae-pyung and Kim Hak-joon) that only did a handful of films (often with Kim Jeong-yong) and then just seemed to drop off the face of the earth. Such a shame as they all had some great kicking skills, proficiency with weapons and Park even had some gymnastic skills too. But the industry was often cruel like that.
He was already credited on Dragon Claws; Blue Butterfly The Amazon; Undertaker In Sohwa Province; and Deadly Shaolin Longfist where he'd actually been miscredited as Kong Wan-soo. It wasn't the HKMDB editors fault really as the KMDB had messed it up first, but to be fair to them too, the Hanja on the film print is very sloppy and inconsistent, making several of the names difficult to recognise. So I deleted that page and put Park Wan-soo's name in it's place. I also had to remove his name from Martial Monks Of Shaolin Temple [1983], because he doesn't appear in that film. If I recall correctly, before I was recruited for the HKMDB, I brought up on the KKF that the credits for Martial Monks and Dragon Claws had been mixed up, I think this is a relic from that time.
I tagged Gaijin's pics on: Masters Of Tiger Crane; Dragon Claws; and Deadly Shaolin Longfist. I also had to remove Kwon Seong-yeong from cast list for Longfist as he was mixed with Park Wan-soo. Seems someone else struggled with Park's his rubber-face
he often looks a bit like KSY.Finally I added his name in Hangul and another version of his name in Hanja.
