Looking to identify the majority of Lydia Shum and Eric Tsang's family from the film (potentially these may be the same actors from the TV series):

1. The entire immediate family - young boy in blue & yellow striped shirt; man in blue shirt next to him; man in beige shirt next to him; woman in orange top; yes, I know who Lydia Shum is; tall actor in black shirt (these are the primary family members...but do you think I know them?)

2. The Juno Mak inspired popstar...

3. Lydia's eldest son

4. Better look at the second son, his wife Michelle and their son Timmy

5. Third, and youngest, son's girlfriend, Susie

6. Another look at the eldest son, Guang, and his fiancee Orchid

7. Second look at youngest son Kong, and his gf Susie

Let the games begin! :D

I have a question here. I am a Chinese living in HK so I only know the actors' Chinese names for most of the time. Like this one, 100% sure he's Wong Yat Wah but Teddy Wong said he's "Felix Wong". So I "ran" to somewhere else to check if Wong Yat Wah = Felix Wong. Am I breaking the rule by doing this? :?

I don't think it's breaking the rules at all! But the first place I'd use to check such things is the HKMDB:

Not at all, Fan. I think some of us forget that, unlike ourselves, the larger part of Chinese communities hardly ever refer to actors by their English names. ;) My fiancee, who is half Chinese-half Bidayuh (she's from Sarawak) NEVER calls any Chinese actor by their English name...she only ever calls them by their Chinese name, and she tells me that that is the way people usually refer to actors (both TV and film) at home.

I think the usage of adopted English names is somehow easier for those of us who are westerners, as it means a little less to learn (English language these days is all about making as many short-cuts as possible -- to say in a few words what would perhaps be better said in more ;)) and kind of "westernises" the actors to us. Felix Wong is indeed the English name for Wong Yat Wah. :)

Thanks kindly,
Michael

Now, now you naughty thread-hijackers! I don't know where you're thinking of taking this topic to, but it certainly isn't flying to Libya or any other exotic location! :P

Sad...no-one knows any of these Guangzhou TV actors...doesn't anyone watch new Hong Kong movies anymore? *sniff* I feel so alone...
