Coldest Winter In Peking - huge cast, but ....

... awful quality images.
I'm not sure if the projection was too dark and blurry, or that most of the film was shot in near-darkness.

The end credits have roles, and look to be "in order of appearance", which is the best possible combo. But they, too, are blurry. I've enclosed the first screen to indicate why I didn't go any further with them. There are at least a dozen actors named Wang plus one personal name, but very hard to read.

If anyone has a better print, please transcribe the cast and roles.

Do you mean you can actually read this blurry washy writing ? If so, I'll post the rest of these credits.

So do the characters mean "in order of appearance" ?

Yes, I suspect it would be hard to read even for a native.

No. It means the cast is listed by the number of strokes in the surname character.
