I'm gonna see this movie very soon, but tell me, there is no Chin Ka Lok in the movie?

Nope, he's not in the movie at all (unless it's as a stunt double). You can see him in the "Making Of" on the 2nd disc of the Mei Ah release though :)

I was curious because I saw this still:

But now I see that Ka Lok is only choreographing action on this image.
Thank you :)

And for not blaiming me in offtop :)

No problem - you're allowed one off-topic question per ID

Is this Vincent Sze?

Is this Vincent Sze?

I don't think so. This guy looks more like one of the "action movie stars' wannabes" from "Made in Hong Kong" documentary. In the end of the movie it was said that the guy, who looks like this one on a pic, got a small role in "New police story". So I think we should check him in "NPS"

Ok, here he is in New police story

So he must be Hung Tin-Chiu, because it's impossible that he would be an action director in Star runner

李振北 (Lee Chun Pei) = 伍允龍 (Philip Wan-Lung Ng )

And Bey Logan currently is 近彼岸

Hmm, I also thought that his name is Philip but that's impossible impossible impossible impossible
Ok, I think Ms Fan is right, and I'm wrong (but that's impossible :( )

You mean it's impossible that he's Philip or it's impossible that you're wrong? :)

Anyway, correction is welcome. :D

I thought that it's impossible that he is Philip Ng Wan-Lung, because Philip Ng is also credited as assitant action director in Star runner.
I saw a documentary called "Made in Hong Kong" about three young people who want to become action movie stars so they came to Hong Kong trying to get role in movie production called "Sword searchers". No one of them got the role in this, but this guy (Philip) got small role in "New police story". As I understood from the documentary that Philip came straight from USA to the tests, so he couldn't be involved in Star runner's production. It would also be complete idiotism to take an unknown man who just came from USA to be assistant action director in big production's movie. That's why I thought that it's impossible. But after you gave that link I understand that it's him. I also see on that page that he worked on something in 2000. So or "Made in Hong Kong" documentary was shot for 4 years, or I am nuts.

Ms Fan, could you be so kind to translate his bio from that website? :)

If you go here, you'll find a documentary by Korean-Canadian documentarian Yi Sun-kyung called MADE IN HONG KONG, which sounds a lot like the one you're describing. I've wanted to see this doc for awhile as I've seen the director's work on North Korean and the Korean experience in Canada. If Jackie Chan appeared in the one you say, then this is likely it, although Yi's website doesn't have much info...

Yes, that's the documentary I was talking about. You can try to catch it on education TV channels like "National geographic" or "Adventure one".

According to the Bio, he learned martial arts since age 7, taught Ving Tsun in US and obtained his Ving Tsun instructor certificate in 1990 (How old is he :?: )...do these make him qualify for being an asst action director?

He was in Born Wild by Patrick Leung

His father is martial arts teacher and runs in USA his own MA school, so Philip easily could obtain instructor certificate I think :) He doesn't look old :)

lol, I spent a while Googling "Mark Henderson" - seems like it's a very common name! I don't think it's the guy in that picture.

He has a very very small part in DRAGON SQUAD. It' really normal that you didn't notice him. Originally, his character was supposed to be more important, but the script changed during the shooting.
