Kwok Chun Fung plays not the role of Chang Chia Yu.

Accoording to the subtitles on our DVD:
Lau Kar Wing is the 3 section pole staff fighter, who's name is Chang Chia Yu.
Kwok Chun Fung is the long pole fighter, who's name is Ho Po Wei.

I don't believe that the guy who is called 'Tornado Knives Lei Kung' is Wong Lik(1)

The Country should be Taiwan not Hong Kong (technically, I think all of First Films should be Taiwanese but it is best to go case-by-case).

First Films is a Taiwanese company, but some of the films they produced (including this movie) were in co-production with Hong Kong. In the HKMDB it is not possible list two countries in the same film, so we decided add only Hong Kong.

I have this movie and very soon I will check if Kwok or Lau play Chang Chia Yu.

The origin of this film has been throwing me off a bit. I wasn't quite sure it was a coproduction of HK/Taiwan at that time or strictly Taiwan (it was filmed in Taiwan and I thought the majority of money it it was from Taiwan). So many different sites claim it as either HK or Taiwan (I know HKFA claims it as HK).

Quick question (for anyone): I've found small info on First Films but is there a good resource (book or otherwise) on First Films? I've found very little.

About the Chang Chia-Yu case, I think there is a continuity error in the original Chinese version of this movie.

At first the character is presented as "long pole" Chang Chia-Yu... Image

...and his opponent is presented as "3 Section staff" Ho Po-Wei. Image

But at the end of the fight, wins Chang Chia-Yu with the "3 Section staff"!

...and his name and his "3 section staff" appears in the plank.
