Hello. I would like to make an inquiry about some of the information on the movie Death Ring (1984). It says the origin is Hong Kong but according to Lu Feng in an interview, shown in the attachment below, the movie was filmed in Thailand. It also wasn’t taken by Chinese distributors or shown anywhere in China. So it also only played in Thailand to his knowledge.

Is there a reason why Hong Kong was put as the origin? From my understanding, wouldn’t Thailand would be the correct place of the film’s origin? Please correct me if I’m wrong or if I’ve misunderstood something!
