Patrick Kim Jin-pal - bio

Finally got around to tweaking this up a bit....it's been a while :P

Another bio, but I've also got one or two other bits to add: his DOB; his name in Hagul; and I also threw in a production still of him from Valley Of The Double Dragon [1973], it seems to be the same shot as one that Oliver Sodemann was kind enough to share, but the quality is a bit better.

NOTE:
He's reportedly been in eight movies altogether, all of them from Hong Kong (except one Japanese). But I suspect this may be inaccurate as the three that don't appear on the HKMDB, seem to not exist.

1) Jet-do Karate - I believe this is most likely an alterantive title (or mistranlated titlte) for The Karate 2 [1974].
2) Code Name Panther - similar situation to the above, but the actual film being Black Guide, the Korean title being Black Leopard.
3) Dae Ha Drama - not sure what this one could be, maybe a TV drama, if it exists.
And according to IMDB, he features in Soul Of Chiba [1977], but I watched the Wu Tang Collection vid on YT and I didn't see him.

[1973-76: Leading star in eight major Martial Arts Movies in Hong Kong]

If anyone can provide any insight on these credits I'd be very grateful.

Cheers

Hi. As for soul of chiba, I am sure that Kim Jin-Pal is not in it, as I have verified the cast before. Other movies released in Japan, for example “Zakarate 2” was directed by the same person as soul of chiba, Yukio Noda.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion on that count. Since The Karate 2 was by the same director as Soul Of Chiba, someone's probably mixed up the two films. When I contributed to IMDB, their choices of what to allow through or not made you want stick your head in the oven. You could provide all the verification you could ever want and they'd say nope, yet allow for say "Mr. black guy" in the cast list for Drunken Master, even if he wasn't born yet, stupid stuff like that. So a simple mix up of cast lists wouldn't surprise me at all :P

Cheers
