ID #6476. The English name of this flick is Legendary Swordsman. Under where it says script, it says Cliff Lok. It should say Ku Long, as in the novelist. Ku Long is another name for Cliff Lok however.

The only thing is, Legendary Swordsman appears under ENGLISH language VHS; I wish there was a subtitled version instead. But that's all right, something is better than nothing.

Actually, I never saw it in whole. I only saw the first 10 minutes or so, but there is no doubt in my mind that it will be one of my all-time favorites when I do see the movie completely. Adam Cheng is my favorite actor in the world, and Chu Liu Hsiang is perhaps my favorite heroic character of all time.

after watching this film I became a little skeptical about its alt name. The Legendary Swordsman released by Ocean Shores doesn't look like the "Denouncement of Chu Liu Hsiang" (Mandarin title Chu Liu Xiang Da Jie Ju, same as in database) I saw in China.

There are way too many Chu Liu Hsiang movies of this era, most of which are dubbed too. I suspect Legendary Swordsman is not the same as "Denouncement of Chu Liu Hsiang."

Hmmm...that's strange, because the Ocean Shores LD of Legendary Swordsman has the same Chi title as in the DB.

Does anyone have a good source for this movie's primary title being The Denouncement of Chu Liu Hsiang? I'm especially suspicious of the word 'denouncement' in there. The title on the Taiwanese DVD and VCD, as well as on the original poster, is The Denouement of Chu Liu Hsian, which is more in line with the Chinese title as well.

I agree. This is almost certainly a mistake ... by someone that perhaps didn't recognize the word denouement, and nobody subsequently noticed. As is common when we make mistakes, it has propagated into the universe in a most unfortunate fashion.

Feel free to correct the primary title immediately. If someone finds any primary source (screen cap or poster) with "Denouncement...") we can retroactively add it as an alias.
