Once again, hopefully this will help rectify some mistakes and also provide aliases for a number of folk :)

Again an anonymous editor added most of the info.

I added 1 planner, assist. directors, sound, makeup, hair, gaffer and 6 actors more!

And don't forget, the above screen shots from the end credits (those not in green) also have listed all the actors characters they play as well. Maybe worth updating as well? There seems to be an error with the listings for the character of "Ah Yan" in the database entry (unless there are two distinctly different Chinese characters for "Yan"?).

Ooops you are right.

Changed one of the roles.

About the rest of the roles, I cannot add them because sometimes they "have meaning". And as i have not seen the movie, I do not know when they have it.

For example, Kim Ip may play "Police" or "King Chat",
Helena Law may play "Mother Victory" or "Sing Miu",
Chiu Yue Ming may play "Police Woman" or "Lui King Shut"
etc :?

Hi Calros,

If you let me know what's what, I can give you the exact characters per actor, as I've only just watched the film a few nights ago. :)

Per Kim Yip & Chiu Yue Ming, the "police" credits are correct and present.
Per Helena Law, "Sing Miu" seems the most appropriate (as "Mother Victory" appears more a literal interpretation of her character and either Kingdom Yuen or Anthony Wong referred to her as "Miu" in the subtitles at one point).

Lee Kin Yan was a street hawker
Wong Wai Nam & Wong Mei Kei played Kingdom Yuen & Anthony Wong's children, and were named (per the English subtitles) Bobby and Pearl respectively.
Tsang Yin may have been the headless ghost in the first story.

Hope that helps?
Regards,
Mike

According to your screenshots, Lee Kin Yan plays "a peddler". My english is so poor I do not know if this has anything to do with "street hawker".

...Wong Wai Nam plays "Boh Chai" (maybe is Bobby?)
...Wong Mei Kei plays "Chu Lui" ("Bead female") :?

Added the rest of them.

The others:

Chan Chiu Ming: "Colored Policewoman" (?)
Ng Ga Fai: "Bank Manager" ?

Your English poor? Not at all calros, and no need to be so humble. "Peddler" would be as good a translation as what I offered off the cuff (and a direct one no less). Lee's character runs a hot food cart that is stationed in the street outside the murder scene in the first story, so "peddler" or "street vendor" would be quite suitable. :)

As I noted, Wong Kei Mei is referred to in the English subtitles as "Pearl", and as pearls can be referred to as a kind of bead (when used in a necklace or other kind of jewelry) that one fits nicely. Ironically, Wong Wai Nam's character is quite clearly called "Bobby" in English by both Wong and Yuen in the third story. "Boh Chai" is probably a phonetic approximation of the word.

Incidentally, Wong Mei Kei is the little girl in the picture on the FRUIT IS SWELLING (1997) database entry page...
http://www.hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mht ... ay_set=eng
...and plays Peach Chiu as an eight year old. :D

Ng's character is spot on, and he is not referred to by any other name than "bank manager". "Coloured policewoman" I am not so sure of though; this could be Jerry Lam's superior in the first story who is played by a middle aged actress. Can "coloured" also be interpretted as "textured" or "experienced"? If so, that would fit as she is an older character and thereby more "coloured" in her career stature. :)

Kind regards
Mike

Wong Mei Kei... plays Peach Chiu as an eight year old.

Does that mean Wong Mei Kei and Wong Mei Kei (1) should be merged?

That wouldn't be a bad idea, as Wong Mei Kei was the little girl who a young Ko Chun fought for in GOD OF GAMBLERS 3: THE EARLY STAGE. She was in lots of films around that era, and was always a favourite child actor that I used to look out for. She was such a cutie...:D

Added and, if nobody stops me in 15 days, I will merge Wong Mei Kei.
