Cheung Yee Kwai
Are all those pics the same guy?
Hard to believe!

By the way: is this the right place to put this post?
Yes?
Then I would like to have: Additions, modifications, error reports.

Yes, why not?

You can't identify by the width of a person's face from screen captures, because sometimes the image is stretched (fat face) or squeezed (thin face) horizontally. Also, images filmed with a "close-up lens" are often stretched slightly, so that the face will fill more of the screen and have greater impact. On the other side, films edited for TV or home video are sometimes squeezed so that more of the originally widescreen picture will fit into the TV frame.

The first few years that I did screen captures, I did not alter the height/width ratio of the image. But for some time now, if I capture a portrait image which appears squeezed or stretched, I will modify the ratio to make the image appear (hopefully) more normal.

You can see what I'm talking about more clearly from these images; the ratio has NOT been altered from the screen captures. The image on the left is from the Chinese VCD which has obviously been squeezed; the image on the right is from the USA DVD which has obviously been stretched. The true appearance of this actress is somewhere in between.

Thanks for your reply!
Now it's clear why some people are so hard to recognize.
Perhaps you could have a look at the Chiang Da Wei pictures too.
Some look awfully!
