Hiya,

I've noticed that sometimes there are some blanks in the entries for the phonetic Cantonese names of films and literal translations and so on. I can certainly help out with a few if necessary. Would this be helpful? if so, do I post them here?

yes and yes

Phonetic romanizations of titles have been temporarily removed, but if you know the right romanization they will be welcome4

Added all excepting "Touch and Go", according to the Chinese-English Dictionary it means "Could happen at any moment" or "On the verge" :?

Yeah, I wasn't too confident about that either - it looked odd, so I did it character for character. Here are a few easy ones:

Anonymous Heroes (1971) – Cantonese title: Mo4 Meng4 Ying1 Hung4 – Translation: Anonymous Heroes

Heroic Ones (1970) – Cantonese title: Sap6 Saam1 Taai3 Bo3 – Translation: Thirteen Generals

Five Shaolin Masters (1975) – Cantonese title: Siu2 Lam4 Ng5 Jo2 – Translation: Five ancestors from Shaolin

Iron Bodyguard (1973) – Cantonese title: Daai6 Lik6 Wong4 Ng5 – Lit tanslation: Powerful King Five

Boxer from Shantung (1972) – Cantonese title: Ma5 Wing5 Jing1 – Lit Translation: Ma Wing-Jing (lead character’s name).

King Boxer (1972) – Cantonese title: Tin1 Ha6 Dai6 Yat1 Kuen4 – Lit translation: The World’s First Fist.

Vengeance! (1970) – Cantonese title: Bo3 Sau4 – Lit translation: Vengeance

Added all excepting "Heroic Ones" (not sure if Tai Bo means "general") and "Iron Bodyguard" (it cannot be "Daai Lik..." because actually is "Dai Dao [Big Blade] Wang Wu" --WW is a very famous historical character of the martial arts films from the 50s to the 90s "Blade of Fury")

The Iron Bodyguard thing was a stupid mistake on my part  .

According to the Bey Logan commentary on the Celestial DVD of the Heroic Ones the title literally means "Thirteen sons of the King". I think it may be an archaic term, hence it doesn't show up in any of my dictionaries.

A few more:

Blood Brothers (1973) – Cantonese title: Chik3 Ma5 Translation: The Assassination of Ma

Five Venoms (1978) – Cantonese title: Ng5 Duk6 Translation: Five Venoms

Have Sword, Will Travel (1969) - Cantonese title: Bo2 Biu1 Translation: The Bodyguard

Once a thief (1991) – Cantonese title: Jung1 Waang4 Sei3 hoi2 Lit. Translation: Crossing in all directions

One quick question: are you sure the characters given in the DB for Chinese Boxer (1970) are correct?

Added all excepting "Once a Thief" (I think it means "Across Four Seas").
