The actress who plays Miss Siu (The Cave Girl) in THE GOLDEN SEAL:



is definitely NOT the actress who we have in the role of "Huang Jia Mei" in The Lady Professional:



However, that's who we have assigned to Miss Siu in the cast list (but not in the image gallery).

So either:

1. Baak Liu (2) is not Mis Siu in THE GOLDEN SEAL
2. Baak Liu (2) is not Huang Jia Mei in The Lady Professional

Maybe they need splitting into Pak Liu 2 & 3, or maybe one or the other is completely erroneous... I'll try to get credits grabbed from THE GOLDEN SEAL DVD tomorrow, and dig those for LP out from the archives now (this is one of those cases where having all the original credit grabs on the site would be helpful!). From memory, Huang Jia Mei is one of the 4 main characters, so the actress' name should be in the 2nd image here:

I guess this actress must be Pai Lu... I'll leave it to somebody else to figure out how to split them I added two better quality portraits for her, plus some stills and a small poster for the film - all I have time for now I'm afraid!

The credited actress in both movies is Baak Liu. Both movies were produced by the same company and with the same team, so it must be the same actress. I do not know if she was wrongly identified in one of the movies. This is a job for Die drei von der Tankstelle (Mr. Kistner or Mr. Germany or Mr. Bruce)

I guess that Baak Liu is the last name on the right in this screen:



Which would argue against her being one of the main characters in The Lady Professional.

Watched "Golden Seal" and updated cast list.

The cavegirl is Baak Liu, that is for sure because that actress is also in "Human Goddess" (big role) and at the "Long Road to Freedom" poster:

The actress is not in "Lady Professional" and for sure she plays not Huang Jia Mei from the image who is now Baak Liu's potrait.

The "Lady" credit is a mistake or we have two Baak Liu working for Shaw Brothers at the same time.

In my opinion we must split the names.

In my opinion: I cannot believe 2 actresses with the same name worked at the same time for the same company. Maybe PL appereared in a bit part in "Lady..." but later her scene(s) was/were cut. I think we should add her role as "deleted in final cut".

I disagree... failing any evidence to prove she was in the film, I think she needs to be split.
