Pretty good little shot-on-video programmer.

Here's the gallery (with scenes - c'mon Bob, time to make these a separate category! :D )
http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/images.mhtml?id=11642&display_set=eng

Here's the credits:
http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/credits.mhtml?id=11642&display_set=eng

Thanks to closing credits that actually show pictures and names of the principals, I managed to photo ID three people previously without portraits: Rankie Fung 8) , Yung Ngai (the leading lady in this), and Wong Ching-Yee (second lead actress). Perhaps now we'll be able to spot them in the other films in their filmographies once galleries are created.

Also, there are two Yung Ngai's in the DB. This one, now ID'd:
http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=7153&display_set=eng
. . . and this one who appeared in RETURN ENGAGEMENT, a film with several unidentified actresses in the gallery and which fits the acting timeframe of the one above:
http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=43126&display_set=eng
Might be something to keep an eye on for a possible merge in the future. I realize the two Chinese names are slightly different, but they're still close enough to possibly be the same person.

Thanks! Interesting that Nam Yin provided the story for this. That probably explains why it's as watchable as it is.

Additional thanks to whoever ID'd a few more folks in the gallery. ;)

Turned up this on a search for ?? Rong Er (Yung Ngai (2)), looks like a Taiwan film (????{???} )shoot circa 1997 [edit:2008?]. Photos are from various blogs by BoBo a pulchritidinous teen bombshell and costar .

Age 29 according to the blog

The tatoos could be an easy identifier if she had them in 1990. Amazing how different she looks in one period.

Posting a few shots from the gallery here just so I can scroll up and down for comparison. BLOODSHED is from 1993, and if those blog pix are from 1997 (online translations suggests it was a TV series), it almost seems like a different woman altogether! I know the DB ID of her is correct, because she's actually photo ID'd in the closing credits. She has no tattoos in BLOODSHED (and no makeup covering them up), as can be seen in some of the "scenes" I posted from the film. Perhaps the woman in the blog photos is the "possibly" other Yung Ngai (the one our DB lists as being in RETURN ENGAGEMENT)? Or maybe Yung Ngai (2) started dating a biker and let herself slide a bit?

I'm no fan of tats on women, but for that last blog photo, I'll make an exception!

EDIT: An (admittedly crude) Google translation of the first blog post at your link says the TV series in question was a "Taiwanese version of Sex & The City". That American series didn't start until 1998, which makes me wonder about the "97.07.15" dates dropped throughout the post. Perhaps the photos at the blog are more recent?

Yeah, the Sex and the City dates bothered me, too. I guess I was misled (and still puzzled) by the "97.07.15" captions in the blog. Looking at the post below that one where BoBo has a cameo with Nicky Wu, that show seems to be 2008 drama which corresponds to the blog posting dates.

Originally, I was positing that the the TW actress in the blog might be the second Yung Ngai in our db, I searched on that name, not the first. But if the photos are circa 2008, then with 15 years of hard living, they might be one and the same.

Okay, with a little help from a friend, I figured out the date puzzle. The 97.07.15 is using the 'Republican' calendar,i.e., since 1911 - the founding of the Republic of China. So 2008 - 1911 = 97.

edit: real name for Rong Er/Jung Erh, the one in Sex and the City is ??? / Yu Ming-Jung

Geez, man, Bobo could have at least been consistent. Silly little scantily-clad Bobo . . .

So . . . different girl, then? (as in, not Yung Ngai?) Not sure I'm reading the "real name" bit correctly.

So far just compiling info.
On the name, in BoBo's wiki-zh page, she and three other girls were in some group/show Banana Club - including Yung Ngai (2)/??/Yung Yi/Rong Er's (wade-giles) real name is Yu Ming-Jung (wade-giles) -- according to BoBo's wiki page. Using Wade-Giles transliteration because she, of Sex and the City, seems to be of Taiwan origin. I'm only 50-50 that your Yung Ngai (1) pictured could be Yu Ming-Jung - but just noticed the eyelids, Also, she's age 29 in 2008, so born in 1979, or only 11 if she was in Gangs (1990), age 14 in Nightery (1993).

younger, year unknown, still with tattoos

So, probably not Yung Ngai 1, still possibly Yung Ngai 2 , but ,again, would be 11 years old in Return Engagement. Unless, she's fudged her age. :D

http://www.cck.com.tw/index.php?index=2#model - listed 28 years old here
gallery with credits (on right) CF (commercial), MV, TV movies, I think two HK films but can't figure out what they might be.
2~??VS??~ ???????(???)(starring role)-?????(??) (supporting role)

Man, the stuff you find . . . 8)

SEX & THE CITY girl definitely doesn't seem to be Yung Ngai from BLOODSHED IN NIGHTERY. I mean, I understand the popularity of double-eyelid surgery among actresses, but I've rarely heard of one having them removed.

The gallery for RETURN ENGAGEMENT seems complete, and there are several unidentified actresses present, including these two who bear arguably slight resemblances . . .
ImageImage
. . . but like you say, if she's really 28 now, she would have been awfully young to play either a club hostess or gang member, which are the characters played by these two actresses. However, I could, possibly, be convinced that the one on the right (as "Flora's gang member" according to Michael Kistner's label) was maybe 14 or 15, and if Sex & The City girl is lying about her age, well . . . Still, these shots aren't clear enough to make any kind of serious ID, so perhaps we'll just have to keep her in mind when Bob finally allows us to add TV shows, then we can call her Yung Ngai (3) and hope that time will eventually reveal her past.

EDIT: I checked out the website watermarked on that "2009?" shot and  8) . Looks like a Taiwan site advertising "Show Time Dancers" for conventions, auto shows and the like - at least, I assume that's all they do; the videos and photos certainly set the imagination off in all sorts of directions. Perhaps that's this mystery Yung Ngai/Yu Ming-Jung's day job? Night job? They've have a YouTube channel (qwq33), where our mystery gal is "Show Time Dancer #54". Posted purely in the pursuit of science, of course. Definitely don't think she's the BLOODSHED girl.

On a side note, I'm not sure what to make of these sexy thangs strutting their tats 'n bikinis in a shopping mall in front of impressionable kiddies, but I'm sure disappointed that every mall I've ever been in didn't have special events like they do, apparently, in Taiwan!
