Not in the HKFA website but in a HKFA book it is noted that Fan Ling and Chin Meng are one person. Opinions?

No , at first, because of the nose on Chin Meng on left - but there's no source for that image.

Also, it being in the HKFA book but not online might indicate an editorial update (unless it's a new publication). ?

I think their eyebrows and nose are very similar, but I'm usually wrong on these things.

I just thought her nose looked broader in that one. I'm leaning towards yes.

Source is the book Hong Kong Filmography Vol VII (1970–1974) published in 2010. Listed at the entry of RINGING SWORD is Fan Ling with alt name Chin Meng.

I found with the help of a friend another source: an old chinese actors book says Fan Ling is the birth name and early name of actress Chin Meng.

I merge the names in a few days.

I remove Fan Ling soon from THE WHIRLWIND KNIGHT because she is not in the movie and the name is not listed in the credits.

I merge soon both Fan Ling because the HKFA book says at both names that Chin Meng is the alt name.
