Information from another fan, it is a bit tricky (for editors with time for research
):In 1987 in Taiwan 3 movies were made:
Dai Tou Bing (大頭兵)
Dai Tou Bing 2 (大頭兵2：大頭兵出擊)
Dai Tou Bing 3 (大頭兵3：阿兵哥)
All of them have entries in HKMDB, but...
All 3 movies have almost the same cast, the same plot and even the same scenes (but not the same footage).
The 1st movie was directed by Eric Tsang, the 2nd was directed by Kevin Chu. The 3rd - I didn't check, but this is less important right now.
Because the 1st and the 2nd movies are very-very-VERY similar, they were combined together to create a "new" movie called "Naughty Cadets on Patrol" (癡線特警出更). I don't know why, maybe for HK audience?
The problem is that this HKMDB entry - https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=6960
is a mix of the 2nd part and the combined version.
I don't know what should be done in this case. I think it's wrong to have the same entry for both versions, because original movie "Dai Tou Bing 2" doesn't have scenes from the 1st movie that are included in the "Naughty cadets" version (and that's about half of the movie).
I haven't really checked the 3rd movie, maybe some of its scenes also included in "Naughty cadets".
All 3 parts and also the combined version (that means, all 4 movies) are available on YouTube.
