The series began with Sorrowful To a Ghost (1970) and if I remember correctly, Five Devil Ghost is not part of the series. It's been long since I watched it, maybe someone can confirm it? If not, I'll rewatch it in the next weeks and fix it accordingly.

I also wonder if the alias 獨霜天下 is legit or just copied from that Korean site:

The site provides cover, flyer and movie, all saying "霸", while the text only says 霜, so I guess it might just be a blunder.

Rewatched Five Devil Ghost. As expected no connection to any of the trilogy.

Only "connection" was the humorous mention of the "Daredevil" character in one sentence along with the One-Armed swordsman, Blind Swordsman, Swordsman of all Swordsmen and the Drunken Swordsman, when Chen Kuo-Chun bragged in the inn that they are all no match for him.
