Well, thankfully the Taiwan archive is pretty easy to use because you can search with the chinese movie titles directly unlike the HK archive. But the site is not perfect either, it goes until 1975 only, some newspapers can't be found although they did cover the movie too, and sometimes you have a result but the newspaper itself has not been uploaded.

I checked all possible newspaper archives from HK, Taiwan and Singapore, but could not verify the release date 04/18/1972.
Not really sure about the production company Rainbow Film Co., but I kept it. The source was probably from a book/calendar with an early poster motive of Chen Tzu-Fu that I found on Facebook:
