ID obscure Rosamund Kwan film

Postby odresel » Thu Jun 30, 2005 8:51 am

There was a film on Hong Kong Cable TV last night with Rosamund Kwan in a small role, which doesn't seem to be listed on any film database I can find (can't access the whole of the db here, I guess I am not a sufficiently high-level member.) I can't id it from the web, the cable stations here have given up listing the English titles of HK films, and are even often running prints which lack English subtitles altogether, another sign of the fading influence of the West here...

Anyway, the Chinese title of the 2001 film is Yuet Muhn Bao Sai Wan, I can't quite translate it, but yuht is "moon", muhn is "full". so it must mean something like "Full Moon over Sai Wan" (Sai Wan is an area in the Western edge of HK island.)

Anyone ever hear of this? Rosamund's character is called "Creamy". It's a real men-are-from-mars-women-are-from-venus tear-jerker.

That's it. They just give the Mandarin transliteration of the title, rather than the Cantonese. Perhaps it wasn't Rosamund Kwan...how could I have got that wrong? I must be getting old.

Must have been some other big-eyed beauty.
In 2001, Rosamund Kwun would have been tied up working on
Feng Xiaogang's BIG SHOT'S FUNERAL

Here's an old links to BLUE MOON from Sanney's site:

PERFECT MATCH and REUNION were made by the same team of Julian Cheung and Sheh Si-Man, BLUE MOON being the middle entry according to info from Sanney's site.
