Hello,
I'm not actually an HK film fan. (BLASPHEMY!) Actually, I collect movie/TV/video production/distribution logos. For some strange reason, I really really like Hong Kong logos. Having seen the few that make it Stateside (usually Golden Harvest and Media Asia), and looking at the trailers on YouTube and Shaolin Chamber, I think they're amazing.
I've seen the gallery of production companies (mostly compiled by calros), and it really knocks me for a loop. And they're just still screenshots, with no animation or soundtracks.
I wonder what HK logos everyone here has in their movie collections. I'm sure some of you have favorites or something. Some of the best ones put stuff like 20th Century Fox to shame...
In my logo collection, I've found stuff like:
-Golden Harvest [THE best HK logo ever?] (a bunch of versions, including 80s, 90s, 80s with 90s music, 80s "international" with no Chinese, and 80s "international" replacing Golden Way but retaining the original music, from a Telefutura Spanish-dubbed airing of the Dimension print of Project A 2)
-Media Asia [The 90s logo is great, if you just ignore the fact that it is usually found replacing other logos.] (a bunch of versions of both the 90s and 2000s logo, including a 90s "Media Asia Distribution," which I found on an Encore Action airing of Millionaire's Express about 5 years ago)
-Shaw Bros. (the legendary "Shaw Scope" logo)
-China Star (late 90s, no music)
-Blaine & Blake (the two Bs overlapping, not the "cutout" seen in the gallery)
-Seasonal (70s logo you'd find on early Jackie Chan stuff)
-First Films (as seen on Master of the Flying Guillotine, of course)
-Jing's Production
Of course, that's obviously only a few compared to the wealth out there. What about you guys?
