I read an interview where Jackie Chan said he would not make another traditional martial arts movie because it is too difficult. Anyone know what he may have meant?

subgum

When did he say this? If recently, obviously his age would not allow him to do what he did in Drunken Master 25 years ago.

I think it was in 1999. I was wondering if it was due to the physical demands or the technical aspects of filming a good martial arts movie.

subgum

Interesting point skycloud. I guess it depends on whether you find a good revenge (good vs, evil) movie more apealing or some other genre.I still like the good guy to win but I enjoy seeing him overcome and struggle to succeed. Stunts without a good story are much less apealing.

subgum
